Slow Summer In Sicily
The Mountains in Caccamo & the Coast of CefaluVisuals of a slow holiday spent with meals on a mountain and day trips to the sea, from my first venture to the sunny island of Sicily. A home on the hills on the outskirts of Caccamo served as our home base in between seaside day trips to Cefalu.
During our Sicilian escapade, we took a trip from Castellammare del Golfo to the enchanting village of Scopello. Though the weather was less than ideal for most of the journey, the visuals of the coastline distracted us from the discomfort of the summer storms. From escaping the cold raindrops by swimming in the warmer sea, to taking the help of local fishermen to free dive over twenty five feet to wiggle our anchor out, it was one of the more memorable experiences of our trip.
